About Speed Dial

Speed dial allows you to call frequently used numbers with a single long press of a number key. This guide covers setting up speed dial on Yealink cordless handsets including W56H, W73H, W59R, and other DECT models.

Method 1: Using the Handset Menu

Direct Handset Configuration

Press Menu

Press the Menu soft key on your handset

Navigate to Directory

Select Directory or Contacts from the menu

Select Local Directory

Choose Local Directory to access stored contacts

Add New Entry

Press Options → New Entry

Enter Contact Details

Enter the contact name and phone number

Assign Speed Dial

Select a speed dial number (2-9) when prompted

Save

Press Save to store the contact

To use: Press and hold the assigned number key (2-9) for 2 seconds

Troubleshooting

Speed dial not working

Ensure you're holding the key for at least 2 seconds. Check that the contact has been assigned to that key.

Contacts not syncing

Check if you've reached the 1000 contact limit. Delete unused contacts from the base station.
